ADMINISTRATION The administrative division is responsible for all operations of the police department. The division includes the chief of police, deputy chief of police and support staff. The chief of police is the chief executive officer of the department and the final departmental authority in all matters of policy, operations and discipline. The deputy chief of police is second in command of the department. The deputy chief is charged with primary oversight of all subordinate divisions and implementation of all policies issued by the chief of police. PATROL DIVISION Commander:
Captain Troy Rowell The patrol division provides basic police services to the community. The division encompasses uniform patrol and k-9. Those services include the following:
The patrol division is currently staffed with 42 sworn officers. DETECTIVE DIVISION Commander: Lt.
Scott Evans The detective division investigates all felony and some misdemeanor crimes that occur in the city. The division is separated into two components, general investigations and narcotics investigations. The division is currently staffed with 8 investigators and 1 civilian employee. SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION Commander: Lt.
James Cobb The support services division is responsible for providing support to other divisions. The division supervises the School Resource Officer Program. The division assists in department property control, vehicle and facilities maintenance and court officer management. This division is responsible for processing reports requested under the freedom of information act. The division is currently staffed with 6 sworn officers and 1 civilian. OPERATIONS DIVISION Commander: Lt.
Michael Guice The operations division is responsible for the following services and staff: Communications Training Employment The division is staffed with 2 sworn officers and 10 telecommunicators.
